Why faculty background matters in this field
SSB preparation is not a subject that can be taught purely from a textbook. A faculty member who has served, or who has spent years specifically studying how boards assess candidates, can read a mock interview or a GTO task the way an actual assessor would — and explain, specifically, what a board is likely to notice that a candidate has missed.
Faculty organised by stage, not by subject alone
GTO practice is led by mentors experienced in group-task assessment; psychology preparation is guided with attention to consistency across TAT, WAT, SRT and SD; personal interview mentors focus on PIQ-based questioning; and written-exam faculty handle the Mathematics, English, General Knowledge and reasoning components across NDA, CDS, AFCAT, CAPF and the other written entries.
